Women of Asphalt Texas
We got your attention, now what?
So glad you asked! The resounding success of the Women of Asphalt Texas branch launch showed us there is a strong desire for women in Texas to connect with like-minded industry cohorts. Almost immediately afterward we saw a surge in membership and began to receive questions about the next steps.
Make a big impact and serve others in a meaningful way with your unique skills and abilities.

This subcommittee will conduct community outreach through a variety of creative service programs and will be responsible for the Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative in Partnership with TxDOT and Governor Abbott’s office. The goals are to give back to our community through service, and specifically, to play a role in ending human trafficking, a crime that disproportionately targets women and children.

This subcommittee will oversee WofA Texas’ fundraising efforts by planning events as needed by the other two subcommittees as well as manage WofA-specific participation at TXAPA events. The goals are to maintain a WofA presence wherever possible, raise awareness, and drive membership.
Co-Chairs Stacy Hilbrich, Gulf Coast - A CRH Company, and Luiza Barros, Texas Materials - A CRH Company
This subcommittee will conduct outreach in the educational and career mentorship realms. The goals are to establish a presence in universities, help female students discover career options they may not have considered or known about, and help attract and retain women in the industry through mentorship whether they are just learning the ropes or in a transition phase of their careers.
