Building a Strong Asphalt Pavement Industry One Life at a Time
Our 2017 Annual Meeting Attendees likely remember vividly the excitement of last year's Scholarship Night. After the cocktail reception and a hearty dinner buffet, the Live and Silent Auction portion of the evening exceeded all expectations with a record 300k raised to support our TXAPA Scholarship Program. We have a big goal to meet this year and as always, we know our members will step up to help.
How You Can Help
Donations for the Live and Silent Auction have already started coming in, but we still have a long way to go and a short time to get there. September 20 will be here before you can say "TXAPA Scholarship Program!" In years past, we have auctioned everything from hunting trips to vacation getaways, Yeti coolers full of goodies, handmade quilts, and world-class firearms.
What we need
- Items valued at or around $1k for our silent auction
- Big-ticket items such as tickets to college and pro basketball, football, and baseball games
- Experience packages such as hunting and fishing trips
- COTA event tickets (concerts and Formula 1 Racing)
- Cash donations (will be used to purchase items for the auction)
These are just a few examples so please don't feel limited. If you think you have an item that is right for donation to the Live or Silent Auction or you need ideas, please give us a call! To get started, download the Donation Form below!
Help us keep the asphalt pavement industry on the competitive edge. Your generous support will allow us to expand our scholarship program to include a greater number of recipients and increase award amounts to track with the cost of higher education. The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association Scholarship Program is a non-profit, 501 (C) 3 charitable foundation. We allocate all funds solely to helping those students in need of support as they work to complete a degree or certification program in engineering, construction, technical, and other related fields.
